Carl Junction native Steve Maddox presents an exhibit of his pen-and-ink and glass engravings featuring wildlife, winter scenes, still life, and architectural subjects.  He engraves glass objects (vases, glassware, old doors and windows) using a Dremel tool.  His pen-and-ink drawing of the Jasper County Courthouse in Carthage was used on the stationery for the County Commissioner’s Office.   Through his Shade Tree Art Studio,  he does commission work for businesses and for individuals (wedding portraits and toasting glasses, for example).  His work has been sold all over the U.S. and in Canada.
