The library was designed to evoke the ambience of the Posts' home.

It features a fireplace, oak plank floors, Gothic-style arches, and a vaulted ceiling.

There is even a secret door -- a whimsical allusion to the secret door in the Post entry hall.

Refectory Table and Chairs

Elizabethan-style refectory table, English, oak.  It features elaborate "cup-and-cover" leg carvings, "strap and jewel" frieze, and heavy stretchers.  The planks comprising the top are joined with wooden butterfly pegs beneath and round pegs on top.  The English chairs were hand-crafted in the 17th century style.
