Paintings by
Karen Brust

The Post Library celebrates the arrival of spring with an exhibit of vibrant acrylic and oil paintings by Karen Brust of Carthage.  The artist brings to life a wide range of subject matter--historical works (such as her depiction of Bonnie and Clyde), intricate still-life, and beautifully-rendered landscapes and streetscapes.  Brust’s art incorporates vibrant color schemes and defining textures.  With every brush stroke, she diligently attempts to perfect her technique and to captivate her audience.  Her paintings of blooming flowers and koi fish ponds are especially refreshing after a long, harsh winter.
