December 2005
Exhibit
Mixed media creations by Mark Justin Hale
are the featured
exhibit this month. Hale, who is
widely-known for his sculpture, adds
collage and painting to his
repertoire with this dizzying array of innovative work. The collage
pieces make use of found materials, such as orange peels, crayon wrappers,
and paper scraps. His paintings utilize more traditional materials and
techniques—-watercolor, oil, pastel, and acrylic. Their subject matter
demonstrates Hale’s sense of humor—-a chewed up dog-toy, a discarded pizza
box, and a Saturday morning breakfast.
