January 2004 Exhibit:
"Cuba:  Street Scenes, Street Themes"

This month's exhibit features photographs taken by local photographer John Couper during his time in Cuba.  He attempts to show the everyday life of Cubans--the scenes that tourists never see.  Life happens on Cuba's streets and open front doors, and its people offer their friendship to anyone willing to show a little respect and interest.  They work hard for very little money, yet they find ways to enjoy themselves.  Many of the images displayed are humorous, reflecting the fun of life lived mostly in the open.
