May 2003 Exhibit: Pottery by Jo Mueller

The exhibit showcases Joplin artist Jo Mueller's stoneware and porcelain work.  The pottery, both decorative and functional, was created through  hand-built and wheel-thrown processes, then ornamented with hand-coloring and applied glazes.  Using traditional as well as non-conventional forms, she also applies texture by pressing various objects into the soft clay.
