Everyday Cuba: Photographs by John Couper

With recent events in Cuba (the resignation of Fidel Castro and the election of his brother Raul), Joplin educator and photographer John Couper wanted to show some images he took in Cuba several years ago.  They depict the lives of ordinary citizens in a poverty-stricken yet beautiful country.   The photographs reveal that Cubans experience the same things we Americans do--making a living, getting together with friends, looking for love, making music, celebrating, etc.
